Hello Gentleman,
I was going to try to grease the zerks on the main drive shaft of my 2018 1025R (50 hours service stuff). I was able to grease the back one with no problem, but studied the underside of my machine trying to figure out the best way to grease the front zerk (next to the flywheel and engine). I searched on youtube and found a couple of videos of people greasing the zerk from underneath the tractor (through the hole in the steel plate); which seems to be a little bit of a pain. I also watched a video by Tractor Time With Tim where he pulls the panel underneath the steering wheel/column off and greases his drive shaft zerk from the topside instead of underneath his 2014? model 1025R. Well I started loosening bolts on mine yesterday in the same spot and realized that I don't (appear to) have that removable panel underneath the steering wheel/column that allows access to the front drive shaft zerk. So, I guess my question is: Can greasing the main drive shaft only be done from underneath the machine?
Thanks for your input. I'm sure I can't be alone in this maintenance adventure.
