I have done my 50 hr service lube and grease on my L3800 HST, but cant seem to get grease into the right tie rod. I even changed out the fitting. all other fittings are fine. any ideas?

Buy this tool, load it with mineral spirits, clean that joint out and degrease it. The tool will force the mineral spirits into the ball joint and break down the crustified grease allowing new grease to be able to lube up the joint. Alternatively, you could try nailing the joint with a heat gun in an attempt to liquify the crusted grease in the joint in order to allow new grease to flow in and lube it up.
There is at least one fitting that makes pumping grease into impossible, on every new machine I've bought so far. If it's not on the machine, it's on the mower deck or the FEL.
I got this tip cleaner that'll work for what you need to do. You can pick it up everywhere..
