I've found a GB220 loader that was on a john deere 650 locally
it looks like it'll fit on my 155d
but I can't find any specs

anybody got a GB220 on a ym155d?

Wouldn't doubt it would work but also would believe there would be some fabrication involved on the mounting hardware. Purely speculation, no experience. :2cents:

That looks like its masts have pins that rest on saddles, to make it quick-detach.

And I don't see the crossmember that runs under the bellhousing and ends at those saddles. I hope the seller includes the crossmember.

My GB loader undercarriage is bolted on by the starter (and equivalent on the opposite side) as well as to the bottom of the transmission, and also has radius arms that go back to attach below the back axle. I don't see any undercarriage like this in the photo above.

Here's an old post where I showed these undercarriage components:

yes the brackets on this tractor come with the loader, there is one for the front and one for each side
I did not see anything that would go to the rearend. though the JD650 has a cast iron trans instead of the steel one
wouldn't be to hard to fab something for that part
he wants $1900
any thoughts about the price?

the JD in the pic has a blown engine (if you're wondering) and is also for sale seperately

If the fabrication or conversion of mounting hardware is doable without much expense I would consider the price fair.

Well it depends on how much fabrication you want to do. It looks like a nice loader and you have almost everything you need with a little fabrication to do. I know that Coldwater just quoted me $2300 for the loader and $500 to ship it for my 155d. So you are saving around $900 and it appears to be a nice looking loader.

yes it doesn't look too bad, the bucket has been welded at the mounts on both sides, I couldn't really tell why but the bucket is a slightly different color, makes me think maybe it isn't the original bucket? and the mounts were welded on to make it fit.

Jtullis13, is your $2300 quote include hydraulic pump and control valve? because my $1900 does not.

Ahhh, $2300 quote was loader, hoses and control valve only. No pump included. From what I have learned the 155d's that used the main hydraulic pump lacked a little flow for loader use, not saying it didn't work well, but maybe was a little slow. The later 155d models used a separate pump that ran off the front PTO to run the loader. Now that is just what I have been told, I don't have any experience to confirm that or how the loader would function one way or the other. If it was me I would use the tractors pump, or maybe upgrade the pump for better flow.

I notice you are Illinois, so if I would bet if you bought from Coldwater your shipping would be close to $500 or less.

I don't see myself buying new
when I looked at the loader in question the owner was pretty set on his price, firmly believed it would sell in a day or two
it'll be a week tomorrow and it's still for sale
I didn't make him an offer, I didn't want to piss him off any more than I already had.
he had a Ford 1210 he had taken the engine out of to put in the johndeere 650, because it was also a Yanmar engine? he got pretty upset when I told him it wasn't yanmar, it's a shibaura.
I'm going to have to think about this some more
thanks for input
