None -yet. Until then FunBuggy (EZ-Go) will have to do!
If any of you folks have been thinking about getting into the game of golf, or maybe your "significant other" has been hinting that they need a new set of clubs, or maybe you wanted to start your teenage son or daughter out in golf, well there's a really good deal on clubs that you might want to consider.

I mentioned a few weeks back that I needed a new set of irons. Gee, mine were only 13 years old! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif It just so happened that my birthday was coming up, and......oh O.K., so I stacked the deck a little bit! After all, my clubs were 13 years old! /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Anyway, I spotted an ad in my recent copy of The Golf Warehouse catalog. They were offering a complete set of Ram oversize golf clubs, which included titanium matrix oversized woods 1,3,5 (driver is 330cc) with graphite shafts, head covers, cavity back irons 3 - PW with perimeter weighting, a Ram heel and toe weighted mallet style putter, and Ram bag with built in stand for $149.95.

This sounded like something I'd be interested in! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif Well, I called to see how many sets they had left, figuring they'd be flying out the door. The fellow I spoke with said they had 1,400 sets in the warehouse! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Turns out they are a model that Ram Golf discontinued and The Golf Warehouse bought them all up!

Well, a few more strategically placed hints, and lo and behold, they showed up at our family birthday party!! (Our family has 7 birthdays in August, so we celebrate them all at once!)

Took them out with me tonight to use in our church golf league. Hadn't swung one club until I got to the course. At the end of nine holes, I'd shot my average. And doing that with a brand new set of clubs is no mean feat! Those clubs are sweet! I hit the straighest tee shots with the driver that I've hit all season. My old 5 wood I always figured for 205 yards. Tonight, the first time I hit the new 5 wood, I hit it fat and it still went 200 yards. When I get the feel for the club, I should be able to average 220 with it! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

The irons had a really nice, "weighty" feel to them. They made the swing very natural and I seemed to be able to hit crisper shots than with my old (worn out!) irons. Even the putter felt nice. I've never been a big fan of mallet style putters, but I have to say that the swing and balance of this club was really nice. I even holed a 25 footer tonight!

Considering that a decent of irons alone can go for $300 - $400 easy, this $150.00 for THE COMPLETE SET is a STEAL !

You can get these in right handed or left handed. You can get the graphite shafts in either regular or stiff. You can get mens or ladies sets. The mens set includes everything I mentioned above. The ladies set includes driver, 3 wood, 5 wood, 7 wood, 4 - SW, putter, and cart bag instead of the stand bag. The ladies irons have graphite shafts while the mens have steel shafts.

These clubs are an outstanding value for anyone just starting out or someone who wants to upgrade from some worn out clubs. You can order them at tgw.com. I found out that my set arrived 3 days after being ordered!

Hope some of you can take advantage of this really good offer! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Edit Note: I had posted a link to TGW's web site, but after reviewing the terms of service, I decided to play it safe and just tell you how to get there. I'm not advertising or selling for TGW. I'm just informing you of a very good bargain so you can save money!!

All kidding aside everyone needs a hobby and should try and take time for one. NOT A THING wrong with golf,a great outdoor sport in a beautiful enviroment. A guy I personally know (retired union tradesman)about a mile from me has a family farm, and they just opened an 18 hole regulation course (shortest regulation 18 hole course in WVA)They have been working on it for about 3 years. This spring it was completed turnkey.9 holes above the road on hills and 9 holes below the road in what use to be hayfields .They have lakes/ponds and irrigation sytem which is unreal.1st class. A massive looking Lodge/clubhouse. When they was building the course they was clearing the land they give away firewood to anyone who wanted to come in and cut (not me I have all the firewood I need on my place ).Its back in the country, you should of heard all the old farmers talking,1 day they brought in 2 semi loads of new golf carts. Its rumoured $2 million was spent on the whole project. And what I have heard not very much money was borrowed either. These are just old common country folk.
A lot of people was skeptical if it would "fly" but it is nothing to drive buy and see 20 to 30 cars parked up at the club house.
The money to build the course was not made picking up hay bales and chasing cows. It was made by investments down through the years from working jobs away from the farm.

Thanks for the tip! I've played maybe 36 holes in my entire life, but I've been wanting to take some lessons and start playing regularly. These clubs are such a deal I ordered a set. Now for those lessons /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Ken,

You're going to like the way these clubs feel. They should really help you with your lessons.

Good luck and let me know what you think of them after you've used them a little bit. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
