I recently (less than a month ago) purchased a used 2004 4110 with 73 hours on it from Scott Tractor Co. in Richland MS to use in my poultry houses. While using the tractor Sunday, it began clicking and would not turn over from time to time. Monday, it would not do anything, so we called the dealership and he said that it sounded like a bad battery, so my dad made the 50 mile one way trip to get a new battery, while he was there, a mechanic tested the old battery and found that it was bad. Tuesday, same thing, tractor would only click and not turn over. My dad called the dealer and was told to put the tractor on a trailer and bring it to them to fix. Big problem, tractor would not crank to put on trailer or raise the FEL. I called the dealership and spoke with my salesman and gave him the entire rundown on the situation and there was a mechanic on my farm within 2 hours, who pulled the starter and took it back to the dealership to check. The starter motor was faulty and the mechanic was back at my farm this morning and had the new parts on in no time. We are back in business!!!! Even though this was warranty work, I'm sure that Mahindra will not reimburse the dealer for fuel or travel time. There was no chage for mileage or a service call from the dealer and there is no doubt that he will lose money on the repair but he has a customer for life and I will recommend the dealership and salesperson to anyone in the market for a tractor or equipment. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
