2010 Cub Cadet SC2450
Howdy. I'm a new member of your sight and hope to frequent this site often. I recently sold my 1994 Cub Cadet 2084 Super Garden tractor. The only options on it were a 45" 2-stage blower, partial steel cab; small defroster inside for windshield; front windshield wiper; top cab work lights; rear cab reverse lwork light; 75 lb wheel weights; (5) 42 lb suitcase weights with rack; wheel chains. The tractor was used to clear snow off myt two driveways and had approximately 212 "original" hours on the unit. That was then......

This is now: tomorrow 11/06/09 my new 2010 Cub Cadet SC2450 Yanmar will appear in my driveway. As you know the SC2450 comes with the back hoe and front bucket. My options are as follows: all steel cab with roof mount work lights; in cab heater/defroster; 45" 2-stage snow thrower; front hitch for mounting blower; hydraulic chute controls.

The former tractor was a 2-wheel drive gasoline...this is a 4-wheel drive diesel...I'm stoked! Difficult choice tomorrow which to try outr first...front bucket or back hoe. I have numerous jobs for each.

Anyway, after a while of using this new Cadet, I'll report my findings in case anyone else is interested in this slick leetle tractor.

Welcome, Jerry! Saw your "NE Wisconsin" subject and was thinking Rhinelander, Eagle River, anything near the UP, then I mapped Greenleaf and you're further south than me, and I've always thought I was "central" Wisconsin :D

Tractor shopping this spring, the EX2900 came up on my radar, just a titch bigger than the SC2450. Bobcat's pricing won me over, though, and I picked up a CT225. The Cub/Yanmars look like well-built tractors, but the only dealer local to me is also kind of a dink...

I'm sure you'll enjoy the forum. There is far more information than either of could possibly put to use!

Rus,

Goodness, I'm still attempting to pronouce where you live in Wisconsin. LOL! I've been through Rhinelander and Eagle River while driving for my wife and even furthr towards Da UP...yep, I'm no where near there. We are actually right between Appleton and Green Bay.

My neighbor has the EX2900 and he sold me on the new Cub Cadet/Yanmar. I would have gotten the EX2900, but they do not offer a snow blower for it yet and I do need a blower for my two driveways.

I've heard that from more people, regarding your Cub Dealer...either that or their closest dealer was maybe 50 miles away. I'm real happy with my dealer here...Weyers Equipment. They're located in kaukauna...just 10 miles down the road.

I've been surfing this site and you are correct, there is a ton of information on this site...some of it has already been beneficial to me.

Thanks for the "welcome" Rus. I'm glad I joined up.

Jerry
