Long time lurker but finally decided to join. I'm on my third tractor(JD 3038E) and have found valuable information on this site over the last few years. Thanks for having me!

Hey man. New here, too. Lived in Hammond, LA for about 5 yrs before moving to NC. Hope all is good in Tangipahoa Parish.

All is well in Tangi, except for the flood warnings:laughing: What a coincidence, I lived in NC when I was in grammar school(Pisgah Forest)

A coincidence, indeed! I'm originally from NJ so this was a good halfway point -- wife didn't want to go any further north (she's from Marrero) so we compromised.

Happy to be done with floods. We were on Old Cov Hwy with a creek running through our property. Every time it rained in 2016 that thing would top and our poultry pens would flood. Got a good pic of my wife, 8 months pregnant, waist deep and shoving hens in her jacket to get them to dry land. When we looked for a new property I used GIS and overlaid FEMA 100 yr flood maps. No chance in **** our place floods now!
