waiting for BCS 740
Hello everybody,

I've been reading this forum for longer than I can remember. Excellent source of information if you want to get a bigger picture.
Now that I'm waiting for my new walking tractor to arrive, I decided to become a member and try to pay something back.

Welcome to TBN and the forum. What implements do you plan on using with your new 740?

Thank you all for the warm welcome!

Welcome to TBN and the forum. What implements do you plan on using with your new 740?

I'm starting with Berta flail mower - got tired of long grass and mosquitoes. Figured hydro mower would be nice, but for the similar price one can buy a decent gear driven walking tractor with flail mower and get a lot of versatility both from the fail mower and the possibility to add other implements. So rotary plow and utility trailer might come in later, but I need to test if using walking tractor is so much fun as reading about it in this forum

I've seen commercial lawn maintenance crews use a unit very similar to the 740. It had a forward mount finish rotary mower and a trailing "skid" that the operator stands on. Looks to be a fairly easy ride. Of course, it all depends upon the area being mowed.

BCS makes a versatile machine. You will find a lot of uses for it.

Somehow of standing "skid" never took off in Europe. Mowers seem to prefer walking behind the machine on steep slopes and sitting down as soon as it becomes possible.
Perhaps in the old times life was really easier: you either take a horse or a scythe and don't worry about many technical possibilities :)
