Kioti CS2410
I just joined TractorByNet as a new member. I gleaned so much information from this site that it seems natural to join and contribute.

Based upon many reviews and opinions on this site I have ordered the Kioti CS2410. And I thank everyone for their opinion. Previous to this I used a Cub Cadet Diesel 4x4D with a 6 foot blade, for 3 years. Prior to this was a Simplicity Sovereign and 42" blower with weights, cab and chains and a mower. Awesome machine! Very well built, I could not break it which is a tall order. Blew snow at any depth, just put the hammer down and let 'er eat:D. I gave this to my brother when we got the Cub and a Zmaster for mowing. I wish I had kept the Simplicity for snow blowing.
I chose the Kioti over JD 1025R as I think the Kioti is built more robustly(less plastic) and is $5,000 less expensive. JD dealer is 2 miles away and Kioti is 15 miles. After seeing the Kioti and talking to the dealer/owner I was sold and didn't feel any need to haggle price after his 1st price offer. Did not look at Kubota as I was done shopping. BTW: The JD dealer is top notch in these parts. I really liked the CS2410 better.
The principle purpose is snow removal for our 175 foot tarred driveway and a couple turnarounds and another drive my wife did with mulch(full width 100 feet long). Any thoughts how I can blow this mulched drive and keep the mulch in place?
I am getting the 50" snow blower and a back blade as well as the FEL. FEL was not on my shopping list but will come in handy for moving rocks and some light leveling around the yard. After using a plow the last three years, and a blower the previous 20 years I am going back to blowing. We live just north of MPLS/St. Paul. We either get no snow or a foot or more per dumping. An experienced plow operator would do a better job than I did, but I have no aspirations to get any better. I broke the plow and/or diesel UTV 3 times! The plow ruins the plants and landscaping my wife does along the driveway, this was no issue with the blower as you can just run down the line and the snow magically disappears :). It took about 2x as long to plow vs blowing, if anyone cares. This is because I have to spend as much time moving the snow again to make room for more.
FWIW: My brother-in-law farmer that tends about 1000 acres says a blower is the only option. Plowing a driveway just builds a high bank ditch that fills in every time the wind blows. He uses an 8-foot blower on a big tractor.
My plan is to pull the back blade to get the snow away from the garage and then blow the snow into oblivion. I am hoping the back blade will help remove the packed snow that turns into ice that is shaded under the pine trees. My shoulder hasn't recovered from hand scraping this last season and will probably need surgery to fix it. Sucks getting old, doesn't it?

Anyway, thank you to all for sharing your experiences to get me into mine!

Cheers,
Kirk
