Grill Guard

I've been thinking about adding a grill guard to my L2800. The Kubota guard is almost $300, which is more than I'd like to spend. I found a dealer who sells an aftermarket version for just $185 made by a company called well-fit? Has anyone heard of this company and know if they have a web site where I can see pictures of this guard before I make the drive to purchase it? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Tim, I don't have a pic of mine, but I fashioned one after one I saw on this site. If you do a search for grill guards, it should come up.

If you have to go to a welder to build one, it might not be cheaper than buying, but if you can weld, it's sure cheaper to build your own.

Tim,

On 10 / 03 of this year, Dargo made his own grill guard and suitcase weight setup, that in my opinion, is the best design that I have seen on TBN. In fact way better than anything Kubota offers. If you search "universal suitcase weights" it should pop up with pictures he posted. I think you will be impressed, I certainly was.

Grill guards are not that complicated. As long as the steel is 3/8" thick or better I don't see why the cheaper one wouldn't work as good as the factory setup.

I would think a welder could build one for you for $185 or less. The ones I have seen are just flat steel bent to fit the tractor and welded together.

Just be sure you measure the front frame on your tractor before you go to be sure it will fit and then go get it.

Hi Tim,
Did you get that aftermarket grill guard or build one yet?
Can you provide contact info on the outfit that makes them,
that is, "Well-fit"? I could use one for my L3650GST but would
prefer to spend less than the Kubota factory version costs.
