When I engage the pto with clutch in I get a grind like I'm not even pushing on the clutch? Is there something that I'm suppost to be doing? ex: not in gear?

Are you assuming your tractor is of Chinese manufacture? If not, I can't help with any MF-specific hints. But if it was one of my Chinese tractors, first thing I'd do is look through the inspection port on the bellhousing. When that very same symptom occurred on my KM454, I quickly saw that one of the 3 clutch fingers was too far away from the throwout bearing face. Fortunately both nuts were still in place, so I didn't have to try fishing one or both off the bottom of the bellhousing (or worse yet, split the tractor). I brought the errant finger to bear, tightened the jam nut, been working fine ever since.

That however was on a 3-finger style clutch. If your MF clutch is of a different design, this advice may not apply. Truthfully, you might be better off posting in the Massey-Ferguson forum.

It's for a Farm Pro 2425. So I should check the links from the clutch to the pto?

OK, wouldn't hurt to update your profile then. It only lists your Massey.

I'm not sure what you mean by links from the clutch to the pto. You have a 2 stage clutch; one for the PTO, one for the transmission. On that clutch are 3 release fingers that are pushed forward by the throwout bearing when you push in the clutch pedal. If those 3 fingers do not make simultaneous contact with the throwout bearing, the PTO disc may not be cleanly pulled away from the flywheel. So start by looking through the bellhousing inspection ports to verify that those fingers are all equidistant from the bearing face. For normal operation, each should be only 1-2 millimeters away when the clutch pedal is NOT being depressed.
