Hello all i have an opportunity to buy a 6' tiller and would like some recommendations on both of these tillers.
The first one is a grizzly gear driven for 1350,
and the second is a Kountry gear driven for 1450. The salesman tells me the Kountry King is the same as King Kutter , both made by king Kutter. What are your guys thoughts? Thanks in advance

King Kutter makes good cheap tillers. Been happy with my KK2 5'. I'm sure there are better & heavier tillers out there, but mine has healed up to my needs & the bit of side work I do.

Only issues are my tines are about 2/3 worn (unsurprising for the hours I've put on it) & the slip clutch not being loose once after I did the maintnance on it.

I have the King Kutter 60" tiller.
Ruggedly built.
Great bang for the buck!
I would buy it again.

Thanks for the responses, but do you guys know anything about Kountry Kings being the same company as King Kutter. Never heard of them before now, and everything looks the same even same sticker except it says Kountry now King Kutter.

Never take a salesperson's word as gospel. Do research!

In general, though, many "brands" are the same under the skin. Some are close, but various pieces vary in quality in oder to provide different price points (or performance).

I thought about a King Kutter tiller but ended up with one from Everything Attachments ("Phoenix," which is a Machio?). Price difference wasn't all that great and I felt like it was insurance (sometimes an infrequently used item will tend to cause you the most grief- when I need to use something like this I expect it to work; something that gets used a lot I tend to be paying more attention to and am not as frustrated if it has an issue).

I look at the specs/materials/traits in high end equipment for things to look for in a less costly piece of equipment to help me determine best value.

So...... Your expectation is that the "Phoenix" tiller is more likely to "work" than the King Kutter tiller?
I have never even heard of the "Phoenix", but there are hundreds of very satisfied KK tiller owners (myself included).
Just how did you arrive at the conclusion that the" Phoenix" tiller is more likely to "work"?

Sorry, I erred, it's a Sicma tiller (Italian).

Reason is because Sicma is a well-known manufacturer of high quality implements. And, Everything Attachments is a first-rate company/importer (and manufacturer).

Components/specs say it's a quality unit. I do my own research.
