You asked me to share some expressions of thoughts that I had possessed
And so I begin dissertation of just a small glimpse of the mess.
I was born into too much freedom with lots of spare time on my hands
And soon it translated to boredom and my life into trouble it ran
Yet I won稚 be sharing those stories for most of them shouldn稚 be told
However I値l tell of something I treasure more now that I知 old
Some of my favorite memories still give me a feeling of joy
Like a very small town in the cornbelt growing up around farms as a boy
I値l start with a few observations of the great agricultural scene
Gigantic and powerful wonders these huge and smoke-belching machines
I壇 hear them at night in the springtime as they plowed and planted the seeds
And in summer a great raging battle to just stay ahead of the weeds
In the fall as they harvest the bounty, of corn, wheat, barley and beans
I would hear them out working all night, these men and their giant machines
These great huge pulsating monsters creating a symphony of sound
As the noise of the tractors loud engines echoed from fields all around
I can hear the whine of the Farmalls pulling six, eight, and ten bottom plows
And the beautiful sounds of the John Deere痴 popping their music right now
The smells of the rural community are also a part of these scenes
The rich earth itself adds a flavor and combines with exhaust from machines
My childhood memories are fading but one portrait still plays in my head
The sounds and smells of the farmland as I lay awake as a boy on my bed
To create such a glorious aura that still haunts my dreams yet today
The smells and the flavors of farm life are etched in my head to stay.
