GS 2310 Loose Steering Wheel

Is there a easy fix for this Problem

I have looked and found oil on the rubber washers

and have loosened one and filled in with metal washers

wheel is now solid again

But what else will go because of this fix

DO NOT use the wheel for a handle??

That is correct, DO NOT USE STEERING WHEEL AS A HANDLE. Many have comment on here about that. I learned this when my tractor was new and have never done it. Since I have not had this problem, I cannot tell you what else might happen, sorry.

Doug, if you do a search for repairing the steering wheel, you should be able to find a pretty good description of what's involved. As Baker mentioned, it's a common problem on the GCs if the wheel is used as a handle to pull oneself up into the seat. Apparently it just can't take the lateral stresses involved…
