GT-275 Has Major Oil Leak

I bought this GT275 a few months ago in reasonably good mechanical condition. Previous owner said he had some engine work done by their local dealer. New piston rings. Today while mowing I noticed oil spewing out from the lower area of the motor. One crankcase cover bolt was missing at the front right and one bolt was completely loose on the left rear. I replaced the two bolts and added 1/2 qt of oil and started it up. Worked fine with no leaks until it warmed up and then started spewing oil from the crankcase cover at the left rear. Bolts are tight. Any recomendations as to what happened and what I need to do to get it running again.

it could be the base gasket, which is a pain in the butt! sounds like
it wasn't a very good repair the first time if you have missing hardware.

I believe the engine comes out to do the repair, but it isn't a terribly
hard job if the clutch comes off easy.
