I've owned 2 Mahindra tractor loader backhoes. 2001 2615HST. Sold in 2005. Bought a 4110 Mahindra TLB in 2006 now has 1700 hours and looking at adding a smaller tractor easier to haul to other property and side work, and just save the 4110 for backhoe work. We have a new Kubota Dealer in town that looks to have pretty good service and is 3 miles away. The Mahindra/Branson dealer is the same great customer service in our area but about 35 miles away. Want to support the local guy but price are generally $2500-$6000 more, comparing horse power and implements the best I can. Payments end up being about the same because Kubota is 0 while Mahindra and Branson are 5.25-6%. I would probably go Kubota in a second but their loader lift capacity is so much lower when comparing similar models. I've never used a Kubota, and would like some feed back from all you pros. out there.
Final note, the reason I purchased my tractors from Mahindra was almost a year of research mostly on this web site. Final decision was the level of customer service I received walking on the lot. Old manager is gone, new kids are in, but same owner and service is still good.

I would go Kubota but their loader lift capacity is so much lower when comparing similar models.

Research the weight of the Kubota Loader and bucket relative to the alternatives. Quite often the Kubota loader + bucket combination is several hundred pounds heavier than the competition, which accounts for some or all of the Kubota lesser lift capacity. Then you have to decide if Kubota greater attachment reach, which adds to weight, adds to longevity.......

Also consider lift height. If a lower lift height is specified the loader lift capacity increases up to the lower height.

Occasionally a Kubota comes with an SSQA coupler as Loader standard equipment, decreasing lift capacity by 100 - 160 pounds relative to the competition's standard pin-on bucket.

Hat do you plan on doing. If just moving loose material and gravel and dirt.....the buckets are pretty good match and regardless of specs....they will handle a full bucket.

But instead of generalities ...hone in on a few models to discuss and compare. Because right now we have no idea which one of kubota's 20 some models under 40hp that you are considering

Also you want to be sure that your comparison is appropriate. Don’t just compare like hp; compare like tractor weight and frame size along with hp.

I sometimes move more than just loose material. Concrete blocks, etc. In the end, I'll probably go with a Kubota and spend a little extra. Though they've been in business for a few years, their moving to a much closer location and customer service seems great. I do appreciate the feedback received.
