GT series difficulty/ease of attaching snowblower

I may have an opportunity to sell my GT235 w/ 48"-C deck and buy a similar GT235 with 54" deck/powerflow and snowblower. However, I hear the GT series snowblower is a beast to install/remove.

Anyone have any experiences they can share?

I wouldn't say it's a beast,

it slides under the tractor, a couple "C" clips hold it
underneath, (once the right bushings are there) and then
a couple lift yokes hold up the front, with a few pieces to complete
the install, including routing the belt around the pto clutch pulley.

Thanks, Dutch. With above average mechanical ability, how long do you estimate it would take to install?

15-20 minutes if you don't remember what you did the last time (and forgetting when one only puts it on once a year is prolly normal ).

Thinking it through using regular/normal mechanical skills should not present any installation problems. Making some notes of things that should happen first, as well as leaving clips and brackets together also helps. Can be a wonderment if someone else took it off and dismantled everything - been there, done that. Makes one think something might be missing.

I have a GT225. It takes about 20 minutes to take off the mower and throw the blower on provided you don't miss any steps. The longest part is hooking up the front lift (mine has a hand lift).

I also have a 325 with hydraulic lift. You can have the deck off and the mower on in 5 minutes flat, so the GT is strictly a mowing machine now.
