Rotary Cutter Guard Cone over PTO takeoff - Bush hog 3308

Hi Everyone,
At the PTO connection between my Tractor and my Bush Hog there is a safety cover - a plastic/rubber like cover over the PTO CV Joint that does not rotate - attached to the tractor with a chain.
What I want to know are there other brands that will work other than Bush Hog?

The part number is:
Bush Hog 50056419


The manual says this about the drive shaft:
540 RPM 1-3/8 6 SPLINE
Mfd. by Comer/EG ASAE Size 4
Used on 3308 Pull models

I realize this says it is manufactured by Comer but are there other alternatives that will work just as well?

It appears to me the that if the bearing ring that they show is the same size as the original maybe an alternate would work.
If it helps the bearing ring called out for it is: Bush hog part number 50056416 Bearing Ring
Any comments/thoughts?

I think the PTO shaft guard parts are specific to different shaft makers. But if you can find the Comer part number you can get it from anyone who stocks Comer parts. I think AgriSupply carries their shafts.

Thanks for your response. I looked to see if some of the more Generic looking ones would work but I guess not. I just ordered one from my local Bush Hog Dealer -$123. We never had these on my Dads Tractors - we stayed away from the PTO when running.

However I love not having to remove weeds from the shaft or joints.
