RINGO 2000. I know it must be one of the main China models, but don't know which one. I need to re-do the clutch, but have to know where I can get replacement parts. I have been waiting for over 2 years for a manual from the ringo "dealer" in PA, so that is a no go. Really nead this little girl running come spring. It has a 2 cyl eng. that runs like a top, good rubber and tin. Just need to get the clutch problem taken care of. Don't want to split the tractor until I know I can put it back together. BHave it in the cellar, so need to be able to move it around. Please help!!! Mike

Re-badging Chinese tractors to some other (western sounding) name has been going on for quite a while. I'm thinking your Ringo came from Ringo Hill Farm. To the best of my knowledge Mike, the Ringo Hill Farm guys were selling TaiShan tractors back then. Appears they're outa the tractor business now, but their website still shows a Chinese Tractor Parts page. See Chinese Tractor Parts - Ringo Hill Farms Equipment Co.

If in fact it's a re-badged TS254/304/354, the fact that it's a two cylinder shouldn't be relevant to the clutchpack. My TS354 used a six fingered 9 inch clutchpack, but unfortunately I sold my spare clutch last year. If the Ringo Hill guys prove uncommunicative, Chip Uren (ARTRAC, Clarksville Arkansas) might still have some TaiShan parts.

The actual changing of the clutch is pretty straightforward, getting the Chinese manuals won't help very much on that job. But I've changed one before, and can give you some of the tech specs. But hurry, cuz I'm trading mine off on a John Deere very soon.

As I recall, Ringo is a TS tractor and we have and are still importing, parts. In fact putting together a crate of parts from china now. some of the chassis parts are different on the older 2 cylinders and we don't have all the engine parts, but we usally have the basics in stock, head gaskets, water pumps (out at the moment), clutchs, starters, etc.

Greg, Bluechip, thanks! I've done many a clutch job before, just get woreried when I know I will need parts, but don't know where to get them. Kinda pointless to spend the time to split a tractor, knowing it can't go back together fixed. Will start the split next weekend now. Bluechip, it is a 2WD tractor. Shouldn't make a difference in clutch, but just double checking. Should I PM you from here about parts? Greg, any info, specs, etc, would be greatly appreciated. Mike

Determine which clutch you need first. At a minimum you'll have to look through the inspection window and count the release fingers (3 or 6). Then you have to decide if you want to rebuild or replace. My 354 took a 9 inch 6-fingered clutch pack. I changed out the whole thing so I could rebuild the take-off as a spare. That procedure I pretty much know by heart. But regardless of whether you replace or rebuild, I strongly recommend new bearings (throwout and pilot) and new pins in the clutch fork (the one that pushes the TOB into the release fingers).

Some old TS are single stage (will have 3 clutch fingers on pressure plate) and some are two stage 6 fingers. we typically have both in stock, If not have a shipment coming in a few weeks.
