Decided this weekend was the time to teach my wife how to drive the ford tractors.
Went out to the barn showed here the walk around 'inspection' of the 1997 NH 1920, hopped on.. and no start... low battery.. wouldn't keep the fuel solenoid open..
So I went over to the 1952 8N, and started showing her the walk around, etc...
Wife cuts in: " Well if that nice new'er' one won't start, this 'thing' won't either."
I hopped up on the old 8n, and with a few manipulations of the throttle and choke, the beast roared to life as best it could with the worn out engine it has..
Again.. I had to laugh.... 8n is 50+ years old.. still has the stock 6v pos grnd electrical system...
