A simple little project from a kit. The transmitter cost just $30 or so and takes a few hours to assemble. But to use it you need to have ham radio qualifications. Just putting it on here to show another pastime for the slow months. In making the video I had to do a little bit of faking to get it to work right :)

Cool. My son is a radio operator. He builds his own equipment as well.

Cute little kit, But I sure would have to close the gap on the Key, I always have trouble keying when the gap is that large :) Still a good video though.

My way of fitting it into the Rural Living form (besides the little tractor model in the video) :)

Yeah the keying is pretty rough alright - I can do a little better though :)

I don't work much CW, but when I do, I use my Bencher paddles. I do have an old Navy flameproof manual key though, I use on Straight Key Night.

I had a Vibroplex bug that I used commercially many years ago but I passed that on to a deserving grandson some time ago. Thinking that I will upgrade to something else in the near future.
