John Deere 790
After skidding about 20 trees I cut down, the happy 790 rests in front of the barn. A great spring day in Central Pennsylvania /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

It does look happy - I took a "Cool Down" pic of mine last night to. I'll have to post it when I get home. I noticed you've got the MMM on there, ever get into clearance trouble with that on?

Take Care,

Yes, I have the MMM and I do run into clearance problems sometimes. When I'm doing heavy loader work or am back in the woods dragging out trees, etc. I try to remember to remove the MMM first. It only takes 5 minutes to remove it, but I usually need a second set of hands and more work to re-install it.....

Congratulations on your new 790! I have been very happy with mine. How long does it take to put the MMM back on with help?

Well it usually takes about 10-15 minutes. I don't have a nice concrete floor garage or anything, so I'm doin' it out next to the barn on rough ground, so I've gotta wrestle it back up under the tractor, lay on the ground to reach under to re-attach the drive shaft to the mid-PTO....

Henry

P.S. I've had the Tractor for 4 years now and really love it...

You'll likely learn how to use the FEL to lift up the tractor so that sliding the MMM under the tractor and between the wheels is a little easier.

Best of 790ing-- Buck

I can relate to doing things out on the ground instead of on a nice concrete floor. It makes things much more difficult. Buck has a good idea that might help though. I just put in 1 1/2 acres of grass and after about ten days I have grass thats about an inch tall. Makes me feel pretty good that I graded it and everything myself. I hate paying people to do things I can do myself. It sounds like you are the same way.

Harleyx142,

Congrats on the grass! I too take pride in the work I'm able to accomplish with the 790.

Buck,

I going to have to try your idea with the bucket. I never tried it because I usually detatch my loader when I'm mowing.....
