Well my 48" Wildkat Economy grapple is a year old. No issues and as many have noted- a great value. While we are often quick to complain about "junk" nice to have something good to say about a product.

Shot from this weekend handling a nice piece of red oak, about 25"+ in dia. by about 6'+

Do you use th John Deere quick attach or skidsteer quick attach? I'm interested in a 48" grapple like this, but my tractor has a SSQA. Thanks

x2. You can't go wrong with the 48" WildKat, although the price has gone up since I bought mine.

Mine is NEARLY a year old too (-:
Based on RedHorse's recommendation and a quick visit to see his I got same/similar, but with SSQA and no flat face "Parker" hose connectors.
Sure I haven't put as much work on mine as RedHorse has, though we did do some junk yard clean up with it.
Engine blocks, transmissions, old 1930s truck frames, riding mowers, etc.,
not what I bought it for but it has been a VERY handy grabber indeed.

I have had mine 10 months now and ran into a problem. with my Old tractor the QA fit perfectly. Now with my new DS4510, I cannot fit the QA into the Grapple. What the problem is theyb welded the bottom plate with the pin holes too far the the left and the bottom of the tractor QA will not fit. Tried to bend the side strap to the right and it still will not fit due to the vertical weld on the strap. will have to grind the welds off and reweld with a added piece in the resulting gap. The QA will fit then. The pinholes are good now without moving, just have to move the right it side vertical strap. And, I am not allowed to arc weld (anyarc ) ,Pacmaker/Defib.implant . Otherwise, great Grapple. Used the heck out of it last July up at the family farm in NY.

Oh heck with it!, Will repair it properly and sell it. I am ordering an EA Wicked Grapple 60" I need a bigger one for my DS4510 anyway. It was frustrating when it would not fit and I wanted to get all the fallen maple branches off the lawn so I could start mowing....Every spring I have a big pile to burn from the year before.
