Going down to Coldwater, Michigan (My home town and where my awsome New Holland dealer is located) today to see my dad..and mom, maybe the wife will let me go see the tractors and implements! /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Just thought I'd let you know that there was an L2900 Kubota, used on the lot at the NH dealer. I'll go out on a limb and assume that there's an awful happy new Boomer owner running around southern lower Michigan right now! /w3tcompact/icons/cool.gif Also, the TC45 that was there last Sunday was gone!

Also went by the Kubota dealer and NO used NH/Fords there but lots and lots of unsold Kubotas on the lot! /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

I got to see the BX close up and can't understand the price compared to the B7400/B7500, these bigger B's can do so much more for the money! The 3 pt. on the BX does look small at least compared to my TC18, like someone here on the board mentioned. Since they've sold so well, according to reports here, I wonder how long until NH and JD follow Kubotas lead and cash in on these big money makers? /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Hey Thomas, what's that old saying if you can't beat 'em, join 'em! I decided that everyone here is correct about bigger is better so I've been searching the internet New Holland site and I'm thinking about the New Holland TL80, 80 hp, 4x4, all the goodies. I figure it should handle about a 20 foot wide batwing finish mower and a 12 ft. wide rear blade. I'll be able to mow the lawn in about 10 minutes and plow the drive in one pass. Then since it works so fast, I can just sit around, admire it and pay for it!!!!!/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif Oh, and I will be able to think back on the good old days of owning the TC18 and the good times when I had to sit on the seat for more than 10 minutes, one day a week! /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

I can understand why there were lots unsold Kubotas at that dealer lot.
The dealer had his order deliver,in which there be more new happy Kubota owners. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif
Even at my Kubota dealership very seldom there a used NH/Ford for sale....mmm,./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif but there always seem to be 4or5 used Kubotas for sale with many hours,for they are satisfy customers and wish to purchase another./w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif
Oh by the way, the used Kubota very seldom set long on the lot before someone purchase them./w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif


Jim, you have made a good point about the BX Kubota,and I agree one will get more for there $$$ if they look closer at the B models.
But as along as there happy with there BX purchase thats what counts./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Depending on the scale of work and land I found out big not always good.
I would rather take that extra 30mins to hour or a couple more passes.
For I don't want to damage my trees nor the fields when scooting around./w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif

By the sounds there a new proud TC45 owner who's getting very little sleep and might play hooky from work to play with his new Boomer/w3tcompact/icons/cool.gifand I wish him or her the best./w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Mine is paid for!

Couldn't figure out what to do with a 12 foot blade but bought a HD 8 ft blade. That should be a little wider than the tractor when turned at an angle. Hope it will clean out ditches and dig new ones. Probably will NEVER get a chance to clear snow with it, though. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Maybe I will eventually get all of the hard things out of the way and get a small tractor, as soon as I run out of things to do with this one. Oops, the small tractor would need all new implements. Naaah...

Bat Wing Mowers cost more than your tractor or there would be a lot of them in use. Mowing is not fun work for me!

I really hadn't meant my sly off-handed comment for you, as I remember you take care of well over 100 acres with your tractor. I was thinking more of the 1/2 - 3 acres with 30 hp tractors when a 16-21 hp would do everything they need done.

I know it's their money/credit and they can spend it the way they want...I really am just trying to be helpful to new lookers! /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

I think it was PaulB who recently posted that if you bought smaller you could afford to buy more implements, which is great since a tractor is only as good as the tools you use with it! /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

I'm really glad you like your tractor and congratulations on your new rear box blade!
