I thought the exact same thing, he forgot the Coast Guard. It was a really moving video thanks for sharing it Bird. And I knew almost all the wrods to each of the songs.

Very nice, Bird! I like to point out that Independence Day is about 56 brave men who declared we would be independent of England. Memorial day is about all the brave men and women who have fought and died to keep us free. Veterans day is about all those who fought and returned to live among us. Everyday is a day to pray for those on active duty, men and women who fight to continue our freedoms and the rights of people the world over.

Nothing wrong with your title, Bird. In addition to the military, we also have men and women in blue right here at home who sacrifice life and limb to protect us each day. We have been reminded recently by the loss of some fine officers who selflessly rushed in to protect the innocent and were gunned down. Let's not forget our fine policemen and policewomen who don't have a holiday dedicated to them, but deserve our prayers and eternal gratitude for the jobs they do every day. If you smile and tell a cop thank you, it just might make their day too. :thumbsup:

Jim, while it is not an official holiday, there is a National Police Week and some impressive ceremonies around the nation, the biggest of which is in Washington, DC, on May 15. It was my privilege to attend the national ceremony in 1986.
