I have a HF hitch and have been using it just fine until I bought a new Frontier Lr 1072 ( landscape rake ). Does anyone have this set-up who can help. Maybe I need some of those bushings?

Yeah, I ran into that with a quick hitch I bought. If you research it you'll find that the 26 1/2" is actually correct. There's a specification for the 3 pt hitch drawbar widths and it seems that lots of implements aren't built to it. I'm pretty sure that your quick hitch is correct. I've modified a back blade I wanted to use, I just bought a loose drawbar that was the correct width and welded it to the back blade replacing the bolt on pins.

You have it backwards...The 27.5" measurement is the right one-Look HERE to view the specs.
The first version of the HF hitches where 26.5", and people where returning them like crazy or modifying them to work by jacking them apart more! Now they sell two different ones...the other having the proper spacing.
HF part numbers are list here on TBN if you search...

Yep 27.5" is the right one. My HF here in town only sells the 27.5"

Been told by dealersMost Frontier Implements use the Deere Imatch Hitch System, this way the guy has to buy the hitch and implement only from John Deere.

Not true. iMatch is Deere's trademarked name for their ASABE compatible system. Basically, it's their name for their quick hitch. If something is iMatch compatable, it is will work with any (correctly made) quick hitch, SpeeCo, Woods, Worksaver, Deere, HF...

can you be more specific as to what is wrong w/ your hookup involving your HF Qhitch and your LR?
Example: I own an IMatch and an LR1072. The rake requires the bushing adapters for the lower pins. The IMatch will fit implements meeting the ASAE S278.6 Standard, as will some other Qhitch manufacturers. I think we're starting to line up on different sides of the Qhitch, vice looking at the implement you are talking about.
