What implements are usefull to maintain a hardpack Gravel driveway?

Towards the top of my driveway by the rode I've had alot of washout lately from heavy rains, and I'll need to put some new material down and regrade.

Thanks,
BY

Another thread running currently on this subject. Here's what I like to use to maintain my gravel road. I use the model 61. The built in weight, all the spikes, and the rear roller all serve to leave a VERY smooth driveway. You can't move large volumes of gravel in a single bite, so in really washed out areas, you need to make multiple passes.

Hi Paul,
Do you have one of these rakes? If so how does it perform?

Exactly like the videos show...:D

I don't have the hydraulic adjuster for the scarifiers...I set mine individually...

The hydraulic toplink is a NICE to have feature...;)

I got it for the drives and the arenas initially...have since created a riding trail with it...cleaned up part of the backyard for a new deck...cleaned the surface growth off an old garden...so I could set it up as a no-till "lasagna-type" garden where one does NOT want to disturb the subsoil...did a food plot way out on the back 40...there's more but I have to write a response to George on the Safety Forum...;)

Paul,
Very good, I'll check this attachement out, sounds like it may also take the
place of a tiller which I don't have right now either.

:D

It will NOT take the place of a tiller...it will just strip the top layer off of good soil if you do no-till gardening... ;) Lasagna Gardening 101

You can drop the scarifiers deep and break the soil up, but the soil really won't be churned like a tiller would churn it...

If your soil needs tilling, you got to have a tiller...:D
As FWJ likes to say...this is a good tiller...:)

According to their website the starting price is $3,595 - that would be for the smallest 5.5' model w/o any options or shipping.
