John Deere 4300 tlb
I just bought a new never used Harley M6 Power Rake for $3400 deliverd to my door. This unit would be close to $9000 new. I think I like the fact it has scarifiers on it put may not like the fact it doesnt have the adjustable gate option. I had reserched everything I could on Harleys M6 Power Rakes, Harleys website leaves alot to be desired. From what I understand that since Paladin bought Harley from Glenmac they dont sell these units anymore, the factory rep told me this. Thanks to all the posters on here becauce it was by far the most informative site that I reserched. I hope I am happy about this unit, I know several guys on here have said that they would look at the new t series if they were going to buy another one. I may have to turn up my 4300 to pull this unit without pulling down all the time. Any Suggestions? My 4300 tlb has been my baby since I bought it new in 2000, it is super clean and the only thing we currently use it for is for putting in footings, egress window installs and snow removal. The hours may add up quicker now, it only has about 700 hours on it now. Any of you pro series owners want to give me some operating advice? Come spring I have a 1/2 mile road to put in and about 6 acres of seeding to do plus another 3 or 4 acres of waterways to seed in. Thanks for listening, I am just rambling now, I got a case of the giggles!!! I am trying to post a pic of the rake.

Does anybody know if end plates are available for this unit? Are they standard and should come with the machine, are they special order or maybe not an option.

I cannot help with your questions but I do admire the equipment. Sounds like a great deal especially if you are going to earn some money with it. If you are using it on your own property to accomplish the tasks you mentioned I'd guess it will pay for itself in the first year compared to contracting that work out.

Welcome to TBN.

$3400 for a $9000 machine? And you only bought one? Why?

I only bought one becauce thats what they had. I bought it from a dealer in MN off auction time. I am sure that they just wanted rid of it. I am not sure why, they are still a Harley Dealer. I know its not the updated machine they sell now. I was talking to my nephew today who is a Heavy Equipment Operator and his boss owns one, he hasnt operated one but says his boss loves his and its the same as mine. Should be here next week.

Aren't auctions great! I have found some pretty good deals over the years on hand tools and supplies but nothing like your deal. Some guys have to hunt and some just fall into it.
