Yeah, but I was concerned about the description on that one. Seems like a warning about it not lasting too much longer...

It depends on the selling price. It could be doing you a favor if it's only gonna last a year or so. Then you would have an excuse to buy the "updated" bar with the 3/4" nubs on it. ($1600)

That machine on eBay is the older twin roller design. I don't know if the newer teeth would be compatible with the upper roller.

I don't know my Harleys really well, but that one looks like a pig with lipstick and a pearl necklace, in my opinion.

After two years checking eBay almost every day, finally, this past June a Harly came up that I bid on.

Would like to have found a place to buy a good used unit at a reasonable price right off the bat...no such luck.

A used Harly Rake is like a used Vicon Spreader...very hard to find, and even harder to find a good one at a good price.

My understanding is that both the older bar (fret) style roller and the peg style are available from GlenMac...customer preference. I don't think the peg style was necessarily intended to replace the other. I believe the two style rollers are interchangeable. The folks at GlenMac are easy to talk to if you have questions. Phone number is at their web site.

I found this one for for $1000 at a local new & used store. The guy said he'd seen about 6 or 7 in 25 years, so he wasn't budging on the price. None of the local rental yards seem to have them. I'm going to replacing a lawn and some other stuff this year, so I figured I'd buy it and sell it when I'm done. It's the older style, but I think that's the original paint and it's in pretty good condition.

But yeah, they're super expensive new. And super rare used. I guess people must just keep them.
