I had an old Pulveriser I had picked up, it was really too heavy for my little NH 1925, I traded it around with a buddy of mine but it is still available too me.

I guess we got spoiled by the Harley and the finish that it left, it is definetely the Mercedes Benz of that product in my opinion. We may just suck it up and go ahead and buy one, but it will require a SS to run it as well and the costs just keep adding up.

Maybe renting for this year is the way to go, we usually only really need it on a couple of yards a year.

I have a lawn service also. The last couple of years I've been using a 6 ft New Holland tiller. It does a pretty good job most of the times. Last year it was really dry in our area and the tiller took quite a beating. In some clay areas all I got was tennis ball size clods. I think a Harley rake would have done a better job. I also have a pulverizer that I built with two spiked tooth rollers. It wouldn't touch those clods either. I guess what I'm saying that no matter what tool you use there is one out there that will do one job better than another.
