Well - gotta admit, the splitter does the job. But - what in the world is that guy going to do with that much Zucchini seed? The first year we had a garden here - put in 16 hills of Zucchini. Got so much even the wildlife avoided that part of the garden. Took great quantities to work - snuck them into folks car trunks - froze 96 quarts - ABSOLUTELY swore off Zucchini soup.

Well, given the sheer amount of zuchinis that tend to come from a few plants, it could easily happen to anyone with a garden-- after giving spare zuchinis to every friend, neighbor and relative, then what to do with the rest? :-D

I don't like zucchini and manage to come home and find that some kind soul has left a box on our doorstep, never eggplant or something I like.

That's one reason I decided to raise pigs. They've been enjoying something at least every other night from the time that I brought them home in May, starting with dandelion greens- weeds from the garden- then boiled eggs, bean and pea vines, corn, corn stalks, now they are getting apples and soon I will be gathering acorns.

One day, our normally mild mannered Accountant came in the office and exclaimed wide eyed...

"You know what happens if you leave your car unlocked in the city? People steal your radio, and any valuables you have in your car.
"You know what happens if you leave your car unlocked in the country? They fill it up with zucchinis", at which point he produced 2 bags full, left by an unknown person!

On the other hand, these Zucchini Bread Pancakes are to die for!

[FONT=Times New Roman, serif]Makes 10 to 12 pancakes[/FONT]
[FONT=Times New Roman, serif]2 large eggs
3 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons light brown, dark brown or granulated sugar
1/4 cup buttermilk or 2 tablespoons each of milk and plain yogurt, whisked until smooth
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups shredded zucchini (from about 9 ounces whole, or 1 1/2 medium zucchini), heaping cups are fine
ï½½ cup all-purpose flour [/FONT]

1/4 teaspoon table salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Pinch ground or freshly grated nutmeg
Butter or oil, for coating skillet[/FONT]
[FONT=Times New Roman, serif]In a large bowl, combine eggs, olive oil, sugar, buttermilk and vanilla until smooth. Stir in zucchini shreds. In a smaller bowl, whisk together flour, salt, baking soda, cinnamon and nutmeg. Stir dry ingredients into zucchini batter, mixing until just combined.[/FONT]
[FONT=Times New Roman, serif]Preheat oven to 200ï½°F and place a tray foil-lined if youæ±*e into doing fewer dishes later on a middle rack.[/FONT]
[FONT=Times New Roman, serif]Heat a large, heavy skillet (my favorite for pancakes is a cast-iron) over medium heat. Once hot, melt a pat of butter in pan and swirl it around until it sizzles. Scoop scant 1/4-cup dollops of batter (mine were about 3 tablespoons each) in pan so the puddles do not touch. Cook until bubbles appear on the surface, about 2 to 3 minutes. Flip pancakes and cook another minute or two, until golden underneath. Transfer pancakes to prepared pan to keep warm as well as ensure that theyæ±*e all cooked through when theyæ±*e served. Repeat with remaining batter. Serve warm. Repeat next weekend.[/FONT]

This is my first year planting Zucchini and I bought seeds that are called "Grey Zucchini" and it turns out that they are more meaty than the ones I see in the store.
I got a good crop in the spring so I bought them again for my fall crop.
I picked 2 already yesterday!
This pack of seeds only had about 15 in it and only 10 came up.
I found that video while searching for how to save my seeds and found a lot of complaints on F & M seeds. ???
Everyone talks about how many Zucchini they get and yet they sell for $1.89 lb in my local store. What am I missing?
I have had no problem giving away my extras because everybody seems to like them and will take all I give away.
