Building in a Box looks like a new firm that makes a couple of DIY type shed kits at attractive prices. They only deliver within 5 hours drive of Pocohantas, AR

Looking at the one picture of the interior of the Gambrel roof building I would not buy one of those. What's the cost?

I've always been skeptical of gambrel trusses with no ties. Doesn't look stable enough to me. The rest of the buildings look OK except for the minimal wall girts. I've never seen a metal sided building with only one center girt on a 8 foot wall. Not much cross brace capability in those walls. I don't think it would be approved by an inspector in my area.

many companies can supply a barn kit. I bought and installed one years ago. Agree not enough purlins on wall. Even costco has a shed kit you can order.

I had a 2nd garage built, 24' x 30', similar to this: steel roof and siding. It was built by a 3-5 man crew, taking a couple of weeks: site preparation (BobCat), removing 18" of soil, leveling sand atop that; anchoring 6x6 vertical wall posts; concrete driveway and floor, with a floor drain out the side; insulation on the walls (see below).

To say that he built that in, "one day," is very misleading advertising. LOL!

I had two different inspectors look at my garage, due to the builder not following the blueprints to the letter: he used a slightly different bolt than what was called for in the blueprints, to secure the roof rafters, so he had to switch them out -- both met code, but the first did not match what the blueprints specified, and they held him to exactly what was listed on the blueprints, no matter what. Second inspector commented it was built like a bunker (6x6 vertical wall posts).

Still need to put sheet metal, or plywood, across the ceiling, then insulate it... Builder never mentioned that I was only buying wall insulation -- ceiling insulation was not included. Caveat Emptor! Cheers!

The rafters look like they only have a 4in tie plate. Theres really nothing keeping a side wind from blowing tje thing sideways becids the end walls.

This is overkill for a shed but i recently built 20' wide gambrel trusses for a cabin. Rafters are 2x10 and plywood is 28in wide.
