I have round bales of hay and I grind it as it's being placed in the feed bunk rows. I need the slow speeds the creep will produce.
By the way, how do you like 7060? This is my first Kubota - the rest are John Deere. I bought the Kubota since the local JD Dealership was taken over by the owner's children and they seem to think that service isn't profitable!
I've no experience with the new M series creeper gears...wish I could help. Just wanted to say I've sure been in plenty of siituations where I could have used lower gears on a tractor....but I don't remember ever wishing for higher. In fact had one 36 hp tractor that came standard with a selectable low range gear set so deep in the basement that you could step off and walk beside it with the motor roaring. Not recommended....but not all that difficult to do either.
As for the JD dealership, what you say about service is a shame. Worse than that, it's a foolish shame. Luckily there are lots of independent repair shops across the country who know that service pays because they make their living providing good service; I used to be one myself. Maybe the owner's children can work out a warranty deal with one of those shops. They'd lose the profit, but at least they wouldn't lose the long time customer base.
