was that a factory option? does the pump work off of the PTO?

   / Has anyone seen this video ? #4
By the looks of the pic, they have a mower drive on the pto, which is driving the pulley or direct driving the pump. Doubt it's a factory option.

Timberxx- It's not a factory option. It is homemade by that guy and yes the pump does run off of the pto. Gravely did have a Unicorn log splitter attachment though:

JS5020- You are correct! It does use a mower gearbox.

I saw a gravely with a backhoe a few years back on e-bay. That was cool. It was an aftermarket unit, but I can't remember who manufactured it.

Erich- Yes Gravely had Terramite make for them the backhoe attachment. It's not aftermarket. I know someone who has one and he dug the foundation to his house with it, worked great. This is not him but they are pics of a Gravely backhoe.

Hi guys.
The pic above is known as a T1 (actually a T1 1/2 w/the cylinders on the outriggers)
It is the first Terramite.It wasn't made for Gravely.
K.G. Cunningham built the first one using a Gravely in 1964.
More pics available at Terramite.com.
I have worked there for 26 years.

Hey Bobb;
You guys make a great product at Terramite! I own a T5C and it is truly an amazing little tractor.

Either a 58 or 58A type gearbox. Which isn't even the stoutest ones around.
But does have the advantage of being a 4-bolt pattern RH turn gearbox.

Then you started working there after the Gravely plant just down the road closed down and moved to Clemmons, NC. Terramite knew a good tractor to start with when they chose the Gravely L.

How hard is it to get a tour of the WV plant? Might be a good place for the annual Gravely Mow-In in 2014. I'm sure that a few of the older Gravely powered Terramites would show up. ;) 50th Anniversary of Terramite and 79th or 80th Anniversary of the Gravely L. We know the first Ls known as Hex Axles were made in production in 1935 and prototypes may have been made in 1934.
