Kubota BX1850
I have provided a link to the harbor freight web site for a quick hitch. I know that the spread on my BX-1850 3-point hitch is 20". Has anyone bought one of these quick-hitch? There are three models on this page.

Harbor Freight Tools

I am not sure what the difference is between the top two. The one in the upper right has specs of: Inside clearance: 27-1/2"; Draw pin adjustments: 18", 19", 20" and 21". Overall dimensions: 30" W x 24" H

Will this fit the 20" spacing of the 3 point hitch for mounting? If this does fit on the BX 3-point on the tractor, what size implements will it fit? Will my middle buster and Kubota Ballast box with 20" spacing fit or will the quick hitch only take regular cat. II with 27" spacing.

I want an easy way to switch between the ballast box and a yet to purchase rear blade.

Thanks.....

I don't know about this hitch but I have Pat's and this one I bought on Ebay QUICK HITCH TRACTOR IMPLEMENT DEERE KUBOTA FORD FAST EZ - eBay (item 360114520667 end time Dec-10-08 12:48:14 PST)
which costs $79 shipped. They will allow you to add any implement of any width up to the spread of your arms which is why I bought them. I have added implements over the years. The Pat's system does extend the arms out a bit further which required me to get a longer upper arm. It was around $20 for upper arm at TSC, I also had to take the Pat's off when I hooked up my tiller because the drive shaft was then to short and I didn't want to buy another drive shaft.

Do a search on quick hitch systems before you buy. Many if not most find that there is enough inconsistency between implements that modifications often has to be done to make the quick hitch system usable. If your that kind of fabricator guy then it is worthwhile for some.

Just installed the Pats system and love it. Better if you have implements with slightly different widths!!!

If your BX1500 opens to 20" at max width, then it appears you have a Category 0 3PH and the HB quick hitch won't fit as it is Cat 1 spacing. Even if you could mount this quick hitch it would fix your 3PH width to 27 1/2" so all of your attachments would have to be around 26" wide, which is standard Cat 1 spacing, BUT, you will find many many implements don't comply exactly with the standards for Cat 0/1/2 spacing and would require modifying the implement attachment points to work with your quick hitch.

A quick hitch like Pat's or the EZhitch can be used with any implement but does require you to attach the top link manually (no big deal to me). I'm thinking about getting the EZhitch since it does not move the hitch point further back (but does move it up), and shouldn't cause a need to change PTO shaft lengths.

I was going to do the pats quick hitch but it would not fit my lift arms (3"strait at the end of the arms needed). I purchased the HF QA unit and from what I can tell from a visit to our local HF store the 2 catagory 1 hitches differences are that 1 has a 26.5 " spread between the QA hooks and the other has a spread of 27.5", other than that they are identical. The third QA that you see listed is a cat. 2 QA. Before you by this type of QA measure your implements because I have to modify 4 out of 7 of my implements. I am so glad that I can do my own fab work as long a I dont mind my welds looking less than perfect.

I would have perchased the Pats system but my L4400 3PH arms have a bend on the ball end that will not allow me to use it.
