I recently purchased a 1989 2120 12X12 Hyd. Shuttle w/1650 hrs, Turf tires, Sims full metal cab w/heat, 7108 loader and 4WD. I went thru it replacing a bunch of grease zerks, air filter, fuel filter, hyd. filter, oil change, flushed radiator, renewed ignition switch, new variable speed heater switch, new wiper motor, and front upper cab LED lights (yet to be installed). Rear tires 80% - front 25%.
When I got it home I realized it is way more tractor than I need. I'm looking to trade down to a 1920 or possibly a 1620 with cab/heat/Ford loader and similar hours. I'm not looking for tractors with a bunch of implements.
This 2120 has the usual small dents in the hood and slightly bent on top bucket but over all it is in great shape compared to some of the rust buckets out there. The original owner kept it in the barn. It really needs to go to someone that can use it to it's full capabilities. Contact rob3280@live.com if interested. Thanks.

a 1920 is the same size you will need to get down to a 1720 to get a smaller tractor

The 1920 is about 6" shorter (wheelbase), has smaller tires and weighs about 1000lbs. less than the 2120. It shares the 4 cylinder motor but has a 10mm shorter stroke and 1mm smaller bore. The loader bucket is 68" as opposed to 72 for the 2120. The 1920 is most definitely not the same size. It also does not have a Hyd. reverser.

when you compare them side by side you will see they 1920 i pretty much exactly the same size and as for as the loader buckett i can but either one on either tractor and if you got you weights off of tractor data you need to go weight them your self to see they dont weight that much different and if they had the same size tires it will be even closer i have owned plenty of both the get any size difference you will need to get down the a 1720 which is the same size as the 1620 you mention but more hp

and also you can get a 1920 with shuttle shift

You need to check again. They are different chassis, almost always had different tire sizes (ags, at least) and had different loaders mounted; 7109 & 7309 vs 7108 & 7308.
The 1920 was never offered with EHSS and the 2120 was never offered with the SSS transmission. I doubt there is a single main casting or frame component that is shared by the two models.

I also found out that the 7108 was available with a 60" bucket and a 72" - not a 68". All the 1920's on Tractorhouse have 7108 loaders - most with 60" buckets. The 2120 weighs 4485lbs compared to 3296 for the 1920. Don't see how they could be the same size.
