Greetings, I have a Cub Cadet 1320 hydro that I can not get in gear. I went through all that I can think of with visual inspection and found a tension spring that had broken back by the trans, got replaecment from dealer and replaced it, but the clutch does not seem to be working right. On the 1320 there is a pedal on the left side for clutch/brake but it seems to go down to easy. without the clutch working it will not go into gear . . common sense.
everything else is working engine, blades will engauge, belts are all in good condition, trans has plenty of fluid . . . I am just at a loss.
The mower was running fine the last time I used it right up to about 10ft from the shed as I was putting her up and all motion stopped.
Any advice or helpful hints will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance
Scott

Are yous sure the belt is routed through the tensioner clutch assy. right? Also the spring may not be mounted right.

I have checked all mechanical angles on this and come up on losing end.
On a whim I released the clutch and tried to enguage drive, this time I was allowed to enguage it, you could hear the belt moving and the tractor was jerking and vibrating (the tires) it wanted to go in gear but did not.
With the clucth depressed you should be able to move into gear.

again any helpful hints are greatly appreciated

This is a hydro model as stated? If so, there is no "clutch" with a hydro, only a neutral position and infinite lever positions that control hydraulic pressure through valves that actuate the tranasxle. I don't think your transaxle is not "getting in gear," but rather the pump contained within it is no longer building hydraulic pressure or something else within the transaxle has failed.

Hydros won't move and should not be moved more than a foot or so without relieving the pressure. Not familiar with a 1320 but it may have a relief valve actuated by a rod or lever. Download a manual and it will show you.

By chance have you changed the fluid/filter? I had one that would not move after I changed the F & F....found out the filter would not work on this tractor....The OEM had small return holes while the aftermarket filter had large holes and would not work for some reason. Look for something that has suddenly changed if you are certain all else is fine...could be a keeper pin has broken. Most likely it will be some little small item that is easilly overlooked....Good Luck!
