Have a Happy 4th of July - from North Central Texas

I have a small farm in NE Texas. I am recently widowed and am needing guidance that my owners manuals do not cover in regards to my IH 784. I can put out round bales and mow with it. I need to disk this fall and have no idea what gear to run this thing in. This tractor has been a real work horse over the years and I do not want to damage it. When I'm not mowing, I have have chickens, Bourbon Red Turkeys, Guineas, peacocks and horses to look after when I am not on the tractor. My current project is putting down recycled asphalt in my hay run - of the joys of a front end loader! This should make it easier to get in and out of this winter.
