Hi,

I'm pretty sure I have a failing bearing on the transmission shaft near pulley. I've removed the pulley and have the shaft off the mulcher. I did speak with the company today briefly and from my understanding to get the offending bearing out, needs to be done from working from the transmission side. It was after hours before getting the transmission shaft off so I haven't been able to contact them again yet. I was expecting that inner sleeve to just fall out come loose, however seems to want to stay there, and looking at the parts exploded view theres no circlip at that end only the the far end toward the pulley end where I believe the failed bearing is. Has anyone on here worked on one these style transmission shaft?

The side with the shaft sticking out has a seal on it. Pry the seal out and you will probably see a c-clip and the bearing(s)
The coupler on the other end is either welded or held on with a set screw to the shaft.
