Often very little farming land in areas with much mountains so you have to use what is available of land. The more flat areas are very valuable for houses etc. But this type of farming is dying, to labor intensive, the equipment is very expensive and the profit is going down. Here in Norway moste of this type of farming are more and more rare, the video is from Swiss or Austria where there have been officially policy to keep farming alive even on very inefficient farms where is much work for quite little production. We had the same policy here but many years of centraliseing and rationalisation has made many farmers to quit farming.
