I have a John Deere 5103 and the hazard lights and blinkers stopped working today. I checked all the fuses and now are blown. I contacted the local JD dealership and they said I probably had a blown blinker/hazard light bulb. Bought a new bulb and went to install it and neither bulb was blown. Does anyone have any idea or suggestion as to what might be the problem??? I appreciate any input.

Same thing happened to me on my 2305 I thought I had a bulb blown or flasher .This was at the beginning of last wk. Went down yesterday to find out what was broken turned on the lights they all work. turned on the flashers now they are working and the turn signals are working

Have no idea what caused them to quit or to start working !!!!!!!!

Follow your wires from the switch to see if any thing has come unplugged. Or pull apart connectors and reseat them. Also try to see if your switch is not broken. All of the vibration from these machine does play havoc with bulbs. Did you just look at the fuses to see if they aren't blown? You might want to pull them out and hold them up to the light to look for a small crack in the fuse element.
Your flasher itself could be defective. Some of those are mechanical switchers and can fail. The newer electronic flashers are probably a bit more reliable.

My 790 had one flasher that quit, thought it was a burned out bulb. Pulled it out and it was ok. Problem was the 2 wire connector for that light had come loose, maybe it has some dirt, etc. inside it or something? Anyway, just pushing it back together made it work so I haven't looked into it more than that. Suggest checking all the connectors and wiring harnesses for something loose.

G'day hazard light switches like those used in the JD are prone to failing and when they do so they stop the ind from working unfortunate thing is the switches aren't cheap

Yep, my 5105 turn signal switch doesn't wan't to work if I don't turn it on and off on a regular basis. The dirt and dust builds up behind the instrument panel pretty fast.

Did you ever find a permanent solution to this. Big snowstorm here in Maine today and I have the same problem with my 2305.
