Headlight bulb source?

   / Headlight bulb source? #22
When I could not find bulbs for my Mitsubishi MT180D I tried a motorcycle shop and we were able to match size fit and form but I needed to file a notch in the flange in order to insert.
Minor problem, easy to rectify.
My bulb was Stanley brand and no longer made and no cross reference either.

And shucks, need to do that again as both bulbs are toast again. I presume vibration and age got to them.
Fact is however the placement is so bad that I rarely ever used them due to FEL blocking their effective rang.
Cab work lights do a better job.

How about adapting LED auto headlamp bulbs, they are super bright and use far less energy saving that needed juice for the big LED bar you can mount on the hood!

Good luck, Fred

HA! Found it! Man was that painful. I saw something close in the Parts Unlimited catalog (Thanks for that idea Ken!) and it was made by Eiko, so I went to Eiko's page and searched there. Found it in a list of motorcycle/snowmobile lamps. The magic number is A-3603, and here is a link to one source of them, but now that the number is known you can search on that:

A-3603 - 25/25 Watt, 13/13 Volt T-6 Recreational Vehicle Bulb | Bulbs.com

$0.69/ea plus $6 flat shipping, so I think I'll get a few...

Thanks for the build # Dave it also fits the L4310, without your info I don't think I could have found it at a reasonable price.

Another reason TbN is good! Finding that bulb for a buck is sweet. Too bad shipping makes is cost about the same as the Kubota dealer's price. Almost, but if you buy 2...

I'm not familiar with what a Kubota headlamp bulb looks like, but for my Mitsubishi I got my replacement headlamp bulbs at a Yamaha motorcycle dealer. He didn't have them in stock, but we compared the old one to the ones in a Parts Unlimited catalog and I had my bulbs in a couple of days. I believe the bulbs were 5 or 6 dollars each.

Ken

Did the same for my Mitsubishi a few years ago.
However later I updated with a nice compact light bar that provides 3 X the light at 1/4 the amperage.
