Hello group, i just got a JOHN DEERE 265 with a blower attachment and found the blower very heavy so i purchased a lift kit and installed it and it helped allot but even before i put the kit on i found that i had to press downward with a fair amount of force to latch it into the locked down position.
is there an adjustment to reduce the pressure required to latch it down ?

:welcome:

You have to overcome the spring that is built in to help lift the mower deck...if I am hearing you correctly.
Do you need to latch it down, or can you let it float?

I do understand what you mean by the lift spring . no i don`t think it would work well floating it would bounce all over.because its almost neutral weight now since i put the lift kit on.
i don`t see how i can get arround it , i guess its not that bad.

thanks for the response.

Don't see any adjustment to make it less of a push to lock it down.

Heres hoping that you can make the move to hydraulic assist on your next trade. You deserve it. :)
