KAMA 354C
I have a KAMA 354C with a 600 LB grapple up front. I'd like to add some more weight to the rear end to balance things out a bit. I already have rear Wheel Weights.

I thing 500 pounds would balance things out and give me better traction. Filling the tires is one way but I'm looking for a removeable solution.

Before I try and "Reinvent the Wheel" has anybody found a way to Add extra pounds to the rear? maybe a rack with Concrete filled buckets?

You could make up a weight box or equilivent for the 3 point hitch. I made one for my buddy's big JD. Picked up a used (could buy new from a farm store or TSC) side link bar, a empty 30 gallon drum, a piece of stock fabricated for top link. Filled drum with concrete.
It was cheap and works as a balance weight. Unfortunately you have to remove to use 3 point.

I advertised in the local free paper for used barbell weights. It seemed everyone has these laying around from their kids. And were glad to give them away. I now have several hundred pounds of weights.I took a weight bar.fitted the ends the size of my 3 point arms and can add 1-200 pounds quickly and easily. If more is needed a easy frame can be made. A plus is that they can be dropped on the floor and rolled into a corner when not needed. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

This cost me just 15$ in materials. I used an old cattle feed tub that protien lick had come in, a spare 3pt drawbar, and some bags of sakrete, a piece of bar stock cut for a toplink bracket, and some misc lag bolts, nuts and washers to bolt the creted bucket to the drawbar..

Ads 600-700# easy.. cheap, and fast..

If you ever ditch it, run 2 nuts and lockwashers of fthe bottom and reclaim the 3pt drawbar, and just dispose of the concrete chunk..

Yep, That concrete filled bucket would balance things out just fine.

Thanks!
