height adjuster for MMM on 4000 ten series

For those of you with the new 4000 ten series I think you might be inyerested to know that there is additional equipment available to hydraulically adjust your MMM mower. Currently the rockshaft lever drops the mower to the ground and then I pull it up ever so slightly so it doesn't rest on the ground. This thing whatever it is is suppose to allow for height adjustment on the deck. This has been my biggest beef with this tractor. We will see how it turns out. For $90 I can't pass it up. Dealer says he will pay for labor since he has not seen it yet. I will be gone for 2 weeks (Have to go play Army at Ft Lewis for Officer Candidate school) so I will let you know how it works when I get back.

Is it really hydraulic adjustment? The reason I ask is I have a JD4115 (what a little mean green machine!) is I ordered a latch kit for my 60" MMM. It allows me to set a minimal height for mowing regardless of the rockshaft lever control or set it for non-mowing height. I usually have my 450 tiller on the rear PTO while I'm mowing and the latch kit lets me till the soil without having the mower at ground level. By the way the kit I bought was a steal at 60 bucks.

Let me know I'm curious about this device.

I wonder if it is the same thing?

Well I finally got back on my tractor after three weeks. I hate traveling when I have a new tractor in my shed just asking to be worked over. I arrived home to find my new height adjustment kit installed. I was incorrect in saying it was hydraulically adjusted. There are 2 chains that set the height. This is what I have been looking for and does the job nicely. For those of you making a new purchase make sure you have this added on. In response to surface wave I think we are talking about the same thing

Sounds like the MMM latch kit which allows you to preset the height of the MMM or prevent the MMM from being lowered all the way when using a 3pt hitch implement.

I got one for my JD4100 this year and it works very well. It is simple to install and worth the price. I believe I paid $75 for mine. These items do not have a typical JD parts number and are ordered by a sales person.
