HI Guys

My name is David....I live up here in the MTS of Tennessee. I am retired military and do to an injury early on and now disabled. I live a simple life up here, we eat what I can shoot, catch or run over with my truck. I have 210 acres up here an most of it is wooded. Turkey season was so-so this year due to health issues but maybe deer season will be better. Not too much to tell about myself...having tractor problems and am hoping you guys can help....

Welcome, as buckeyefarmer said thanks for your service. My dad was a Vietnam era LRRP. I posted in your other thread so I thought I'd come over here and welcome you.

To TBN David. You came to the right place to get any question answered.

Were the 210 acres already in the family? Are you in the Smokies?

Thanks for your service, how long were you in, and which branch?

My wife and I bought this property after I got out of the military and was working for a company called Air Products. It was suppose to be a retirement property. I didn't know I was going to have to retire as early as I did. It is amazing how an injury early in life can come back and bite you in the behind. I am not in the Smokies but not far away. I was in the Army and actually was with the 2nd and 75th Rangers out of Ft. Lewis in Washington st.

So, are either you or your wife from TN originally? I am very familiar with Air Products.

When we fly back from Nam, we landed at McChord AFB and was bussed over to Ft. Lewis to be processed and paid, since all but 7 of us were Army and it being a Sunday and the Air Force base finance office was closed.

The ride in the taxi to SeaTac from Ft. Lewis was a real eye opener. There were 5 of us sharing the taxi but the driver was calling us baby killers and other things. We had to restrain one guy who seem to want to kill him. When we didn't tip him after putting up with his s..t, he called us a few more things. I told him that he better be thankful that we didn't let the one guy put him in the hospital.
