I am interested in getting a set of turf tires for my Kubota b2200 and have gotten a price of around 250 with wheels from my dealer........I install them. Is this fair or is there a place I could get them their party or after market.

Also interested in a landscape rake. Have looked at the TSC and other dealers. Prefer to buy new, what kind of pricing should a 48 inch rake be.

Thanks in advance for the great advice /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Danny:

The price on the tires and wheels seems reasonable. One suggestion on the rake -- you might want to consider at least a 60 inch rake, so you can angle it one notch and still cover your tire tracks. Your BX will handle it easily, and you will find times when you need to windrow the stuff you are raking, or at least move it to the side.

I bought a Leinbach 72 inch rake for $350, plus $250 for guide wheels, if that helps any. The guide wheels come in handy when you are trying to get a level, smooth surface, without dips and high spots.

Good luck, and welcome to the forum.

Most reports have been $290 to $300 range for a set of tires/wheels for a bx1800/2200 so I would say $250 is in the very good price range.

As a side note, I have a 72" rake that I use on the bx if it is not on the other tractor. It works real well...but yesterday I was using it in some wet soil, and had a fair amount stuck to the tynes [tines?] and with the rake lifted I backed up and stopped, and the front wheels lifted off the ground.

Guess I will need some front weights since I don't have a loader on the bx... /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif... or maybe I need a loader for the bx! I would have a loader on the bx already but the larger tractor already has one...

On third thought...maybe I'll get a set of bar tires and have them foam filled...

Thanks all. I will be getting the turf tires soon from my dealer. As for the rake, I think I am going to every farm auction and consignment auction in town or even close to town for the next few weeks.

I passed on a middle buster/spud digger last time for 45.00, should have bid the 50.00

On the raising up with the 2200, oh Yeah /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif, I did that just this weekend tilling my neighbors garden.........weights are a comin, the FEL is off for a while.

Thanks again and later

Hi Danny,

I have a 72" TSC landscape rake with about 10 hours on it. I can't envision using it for anything else now that I have the yard landscaped. As Henro said it will work on a BX, and will take less time than a 48". If you are interested send me a private email.
