Hello from Anna's Terra!

[Annas Terra Vineyard]

Hello all! My name is Peter K. My wife Adrienne and I are in the planning stages of opening a vineyard in Whitestone Virginia. The name Anna's Terra comes from my wife's lovely mother who passed from ALS 8 years ago.

I currently own two tractors, both older models, I am not sure of the year of either of them, but am learning to operate them pretty much on my own. One is a John Deere 820 German made model. The other is a IH B414, both are basic farm tractors. I have inherited both of them from my wife's father who suffers from Alzheimers and con-genitive heart failure. (been a rough few years in our family)

Anyhow, I look forward to learning more about these machines and how to be proficient with them and maybe even work on them. I am mechanically proficient, have tons of tools and am not afraid of anything! (heck, I am about to open a vineyard!)

Be afraid.............be very afraid :laughing:
I did what you are going to do about 10 years ago.
Seems like a lifetime.
Forget holidays, weekends off and any type of recreation.
Honestly is a lot of hard work but can be a lot of fun and very rewarding.
How many vines are you going to put in?.......What type?.......going to make your own wine?

Hello! I know it has been awhile since I posted! However, we are moving fwd with the vineyard! We planted our test crops 9 days ago and have excellent results thus far!
