I've been reading the forum for a few months researching tractors while we're building a weekend house on 50+ acres in Deep East Texas which is about 75% wooded and 25% grazing land. Woods are primarily hardwood with a lot of Yaupon undergrowth. I was thinking 30-40 hp mainly for mowing around the house but came across what I thought was a good deal. I just bought a 2014 Kubota MX5100 (gear) 4x4 w/FEL with 125 hours along with a Rhino SE6 shredder. We have a new ~400 foot driveway which is primarily clay with one load of gravel. Once the house is finished we'll add several loads of gravel to the drive so I need to decide whether to spread it myself or have it spread by whoever delivers it. We've had 3 acres of the Yaupon mulched behind the house so I also have some cleanup to do there. Over time, I'd like to get rid of more Yaupon. I look forward to learning what implements would be best to carry out the various tasks I'd like to accomplish.
