YM 220D 1991 & Ym 240D 1979
Hello Everyone , Found this site through a search. Looks like a great place. Just a little history on my tractors then I'll post some pics :D

I inherited these tractors from my father who passed from cancer in 2004 . They were sitting outside for years in North East Pennsylvania. I had someone haul them to me here in Minnesota. Matter of fact, they arrived in Minnesota today :D

I contacted the gentleman who my father bought them from. He used to sell tractors now he only sells parts and does service. He told me the YM240D was a 1979 and the YM220D was a 1991.

I look forward to the wealth of knowledge here and I hope I can help someone out one day the way this forum will help me.

Chris

Yes there were 3 tractors. He was making another delivery after mine. I'm not all too familiar with tractors , but this one was cool. Had this crank on the front and it was a 4 cyl. Had a name up front , all I remember was deering. It looked something like this one

As a matter of fact I think he is :D I think he"s a little proud of it also and his ym240.:p:D
Hey I resemble that remark! :D

Welcome aboard, Chris!

I know you will love your YM240D.

I've had my 240 since 2003. I can't imagine a better starting-out tractor. I like to think this was the model that spooked Deere so bad that Deere didn't attempt to compete with the new kid, instead they bought Yanmar's next 20 years of production so they wouldn't get run over. :D

If you haven't discovered it already, I have some original sales brochures online. You can click on my sig, below.

Hello Dustin
call these folks here Yanmar Tractors -- Parts -- Sales -- Service just had this out and have the 1610's available also. I seen you were also up at Buying and pricing. Yes it is true the Yanmars are a well made tractor and have built for other Manufactuers for Yrs.. The people on this forum are as good as it gets for info. If you come across one and want to know anything about them Just ask someone will give you a honest answer.

You will find that even though your backhoe has a Yanmar tag and serial number it is actually a Woods BH 750. I have the same backhoe on a Kubota. I have purchased Woods parts from my dealer and they are an exact match. You can get the owners manual from the Woods website.
